ResaleRobo ("we", "us", or "our") operates the ResaleRobo mobile application and website at resalerobo.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account and use ResaleRobo, we collect:
Account information — username, email address, and a hashed (never plain-text) password.
Scan history — records of items you have scanned, including AI-generated listing data and pricing estimates. Scan history is retained for 7 days.
Inventory and cart data — items you save to your inventory or cart within the app.
Usage data — scan and bulk scan counts used for quota tracking within your billing period.
eBay OAuth tokens — if you connect your eBay account, we store an access token on our server to enable listing functionality. We do not store your eBay password.
We do not store the photos you take during a scan. Images are transmitted to our AI provider for analysis and are not retained on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and operate the ResaleRobo app and its features.
To track your usage quota within your billing period.
To communicate with you about your account if needed.
To improve the reliability and accuracy of the service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
ResaleRobo uses the following third-party services to operate:
Anthropic — AI analysis of scanned items. Images and item data are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
eBay — if you connect your eBay account, we interact with eBay's APIs on your behalf. See eBay's Privacy Policy.
DigitalOcean — our app and your data are hosted on DigitalOcean servers located in the United States.
4. Data Retention
Scan history is automatically deleted after 7 days.
Inventory, cart, and account data is retained until you delete your account.
eBay tokens are deleted when you disconnect your eBay account or delete your account.
5. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes all of your data from our servers, including your inventory, scan history, cart, and eBay token. This action cannot be undone.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, HttpOnly session cookies, and hashed password storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
ResaleRobo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
